ABOUT ME

Professional Consulting

Dave Brown, Principal of DSB Consulting, has over 25 years experience in Strategic Planning, Marketing, Business Development, Sales, Product/Program Management and Electrical Engineering, primarily in the cable and satellite television industry.  He has been with CommScope/ARRIS and predecessor companies Motorola and General Instrument for over 20 years, most recently responsible for the P&L and Product Management of the ARRIS PKI and Security Engineering Center.   Prior to that he ran Product Management for ARRIS Service Provider Wi-Fi Infrastructure (Cloud-based) products.   Earlier at Motorola, Dave was part of the Strategy and Planning/M&A group, and during that time led the acquisition of Secure Media (a DRM company), and also was the lead negotiator for Motorola for the agreements that created the universal Digital Television Adaptor ecosystem, still in use by many cable operators globally.
Previously he held System, Project, Line Management and Design Engineering positions.  His engineering expertise is in the areas of Digital Communications, Microprocessor Design, Error Correction Coding and Data Encryption.  Mr. Brown has an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School, as well a BSEE and MSEE from Tufts University.
